How the score breaks down
The overall score is the weighted average of these factors. Scoring rules
Privacy30% of score
46 out of 100, WeakApple's label lists device ID and advertising data as used to track you, and Google Play says the game collects installed apps and shares device IDs and approximate location for advertising. Wildlife's policy allows cross-device ad tracking and names Meta, Google and AppLovin as ad partners.
Security30% of score
55 out of 100, FairGoogle Play says data is encrypted in transit. Accounts are guest profiles saved through Facebook, Google or Apple sign-in, with no two-step login of Wildlife's own, and we found no bug bounty on HackerOne or Bugcrowd. No breach of Sniper 3D accounts has been reported.
Transparency and control15% of score
60 out of 100, FairiPhone players can delete their account in Game Settings, but Android players must send a privacy request form. Players can mute others for up to a week and report chat, and Wildlife says it honours Global Privacy Control. The privacy policy dates from March 2023 and the game has no parental controls of its own.
Scams and harmful content15% of score
48 out of 100, WeakGlobal and region chats let strangers message each other in a game rated 18+ for realistic violence, while Wildlife's terms set the minimum age at 13. An AI filter blocks flagged messages before sending, and child safety was the second-largest abuse category Wildlife detected in 2025. The shop sells loot boxes.
Regulatory record10% of score
87 out of 100, ExcellentWe found no fine, order or published regulator review of Sniper 3D or Wildlife Studios by the FTC, Brazil's ANPD or Senacon, EU authorities or the UK ASA. Wildlife publishes DSA and ECA Digital transparency reports, but these are legal duties, not a regulator's review, so the score stays below 90.
Is Sniper 3D safe?
Sniper 3D is a reasonable choice for adults who want a free shooting game, and a poor one for children. It is a game about assassinating targets, rated 18+ on the US App Store, with open text chat, ad tracking and a shop full of loot boxes. Its strengths are a moderation system that filters chat before it is sent and a clean regulatory record.
We score it 55/100. That puts it just below Fortnite (57) and Brawl Stars (58), and well above Free Fire (45), mainly because Sniper 3D has no voice chat and no record of fines or bans.
The game is huge. It has 3.3 million ratings on the US App Store and more than 500 million downloads on Google Play, and it sat in the top 100 action games on the iPhone in 22 of the 24 countries we checked in October 2026.
How old do you have to be to play Sniper 3D?
The answers do not line up. Apple rates the game 18+ for frequent realistic violence and guns. Google Play rates it Mature 17+ for intense violence and blood. Wildlife's terms of service and code of conduct set the minimum age at 13, and they say players under 18 need a parent to accept the terms.
So a 13-year-old breaks no rule of Wildlife's by playing. The store rating matters only if a parent has set content limits on the phone. Wildlife says in its ECA Digital report for Brazil that it relies on the stores' parental-control signals to adjust the game for younger players, rather than checking ages itself.
Who can talk to you in the game?
Strangers can. Sniper 3D has a global chat, a region chat and a squad chat, and during Squad Wars a war chat opens between the two competing squads. Any player who has unlocked PvP and won 50 trophies can join a squad.
Wildlife has more safety machinery than many game makers of its size. Its moderation page says an AI moderator censors messages that break the code of conduct, and its ECA Digital report says the filter checks text before it is sent, so a flagged message never reaches the other player. Players can report a chat message under categories that include child solicitation, harassment and real-life threats, and mute a player for up to a week. Wildlife says it reports child sexual abuse material to NCMEC.
The numbers show why this matters. Across all its games, Wildlife took more than 256,700 enforcement actions in 2025, and child safety was the second-largest category of abuse it detected, at 15.7%, behind hate speech. In the first half of 2026 it took 175,748 moderation actions, most of them against adult sexual material. These figures cover every Wildlife game, not Sniper 3D alone.
What data does Sniper 3D collect?
Less than some rivals declare, though more than a game needs. Apple's privacy label lists only device ID and advertising data as used to track you across other companies' apps. Location, gameplay, email, user ID and diagnostics are listed as collected but not linked to your identity. Google Play's form adds that the game collects a list of installed apps and shares device IDs and approximate location for advertising.
Wildlife's privacy policy, effective since 3 March 2023, allows "interest-based" advertising "including through cross-device tracking" and names Meta, Google and AppLovin among its ad partners. It says Wildlife does not sell personal data in the legal sense, but shares it with ad partners. You can opt out of that sharing through Wildlife's privacy web form, and its websites treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out.
Is a Sniper 3D account secure?
Reasonably, for a game. Google Play says data is encrypted in transit. There is no Wildlife login: progress lives on the device and is saved by linking Facebook, Google Play or Apple sign-in, so the account is as secure as that login. We found no two-step option of Wildlife's own and no bug bounty on HackerOne or Bugcrowd. No breach of Sniper 3D accounts has been reported.
Money, ads and loot boxes
The App Store lists loot boxes among the game's content, and the shop sells diamonds and bundles for $2.99 to $19.99 in the US, plus Premium and Premium Plus subscriptions. Ads run in the free game. Wildlife's terms say purchases are generally not refundable, and US players agree to individual arbitration unless they opt out by email within 30 days. Deleting an account does not cancel a subscription.
How to play Sniper 3D more safely
- Keep it off younger children's phones: set the device's age limit to the store rating, which blocks an 18+ game on iPhone.
- Link the account to Apple or Google sign-in, and turn on Two-factor authenticationSigning in with a second proof of identity on top of your password, such as a code from an app, a security key or a passkey.More in the glossary for that account.
- Mute or report anyone in global chat who asks for personal details or moves the talk to another app.
- Turn on Ask to Buy or Google Play purchase approval, and cancel Premium in the store before deleting the game.
- Refuse tracking when the iPhone asks, and use Wildlife's privacy form to opt out of ad sharing.
How we scored it
Regulatory record (87) is the strongest factor: we found no fines or orders, though no regulator has examined the game either. Privacy (46) is the weakest, because the game tracks players for ads and Google Play lists installed apps among the data collected. Scams and harmful content (48) weighs open chat with strangers and loot boxes in an 18+ game against a filter that checks messages before they are sent.
Questions people ask
Is Sniper 3D OK for a 12-year-old?
Not by its ratings. The US App Store rates it 18+ for frequent realistic violence and guns, and Google Play rates it Mature 17+ for intense violence and blood. Wildlife's own terms require players to be at least 13. The game also has open text chat with strangers and sells loot boxes, so parents of younger children have several reasons to say no.
Can you chat with strangers in Sniper 3D?
Yes. Players can post in global and region chats and in their squad's chat, which opens to the rival squad during Squad Wars. Wildlife says an AI filter checks messages before they are sent. Players can tap a name to report it or mute that player for up to a week.
Does Sniper 3D work offline?
The main missions can be played without an internet connection, according to the store listing. PvP arenas, squads, chat and purchases need a connection. Ads and tracking also run when the device is online.
How do I delete my Sniper 3D account?
On iPhone or iPad, open the menu, go to Game Settings and tap Delete Account, then type your username to confirm. On Android there is no button, so you send Wildlife's privacy request form with your player ID. Deleting the account does not cancel a Premium subscription, which you must cancel in the App Store or Google Play.
Who makes Sniper 3D?
Wildlife Studios, a Brazilian mobile game company, which also makes Tennis Clash and Zooba. Its terms are with Wild Life Inc., a US company. In October 2026 Wildlife bought PK XD and other games from Afterverse.
