Aircraft safety ranking
How safe is each airliner?
Passenger risk per flight for every airliner family in service.
We count every fatal accident on a passenger flight, weigh it by the share of people on board who died, and divide by the number of flights the type has made. Sabotage, shoot-downs, hijackings and deliberate crew actions are listed on each page but not counted. Types with few flights are pulled toward the average until they have a long record.
